  1. Ms. Davo is on 6 months now and we have a confirmed second girl on the way. Hope your sick feelings dissapear soon me jane. Fattwins, you must be getting pretty excited now mate, not long to go aye. While I would have liked a boy in many ways, though another girl is just as good, plus a lad may have felt a bit uncomfortable in those pink hand-me-downs he would've been wearing The first one is as hyperactive and aggressive as you'd expect a boy to be anyway. All the other kids at the park seem so well-behaved and quiet in comparison to our little monster. Gambare baby makers
  2. yeah it's sweet alright, though I am still in the market for a new pair of shoes as sports depot drew a blank on my size after keeping me waiting for 10 days Japan is hell for peeps who have bigger feet. Will try to get down to Sportaka on the weekend-they are one of the few places that cater to the freak feet crew...
  3. You're lucky to be able to go so often. I ran for almost 2 hours on Sunday cause I found some mindblowingly great new trails. Creek Boy, you will be impressed by what I've found, it's exactly what we've been looking for. Don't know how I'd missed it in the past.
  4. Nice read Toque. Your Dad sounds like a good guy getting you out in the montains early-I have the same secret plan for my girls actually. Cheers for the one and only(sort hike though it was) backcountry trip I did this season. Good luck with the studies and the "real" teaching mate.
  5. Some point in the afternoon-soon I'll be able to counter this by going to work out or taking a nap in the gym/relaxation room. Early 8:00am starts also suck if I haven't had a good enough sleep the night before.
  6. When I get home and see my girls, which coincidentally is right now. Workwise 10-1 and 5-7.
  7. No arguing with that Creek Boy. I am indeed an old geezer.
  8. Hanshin earthquake whatever that measured in central Osaka, scary stuff indeed...
  9. Smelly people smell bad no matter where they're from. Japanese prolly smell less than some other groups due to diet, but junk food munching unwashed slob here would smell bad like one in other countries. Fact is that the Japanese as a generalised group smell less than people from Western countries in my experience. What the guy said was probably true in his experience and perception. Agreed, he shouldn't be saying it on tv to perpetate racial stereotypes and crappy nationalistic horn tooting. Was that his intention or was he just being unknowingly insensitive. The ignorance and raci
  10. Hope you're ok mate. I gotta find some mellower trails for us out here. That leafy section sucked but luckily it was pretty short and, like I said, I've gotten used to those hellish ascents. The conventional trail and temple route should be better. Got me over my cold but one of my quads is a bit sore today.
  11. I ran that trail we've been looking at on Sunday CB. Didn't set out to do it but had it done 2 hours later. A bit stoopid considering I took no water, but I can blame Sports Depot for that. What is it about big sports shops? I go to buy a water bottle belt and, of course, they don't have one-pathetic really. SG on one level you're right, but I can run stuff that a MTB would have to be carried up/down, plus I know you don't dig on the running and I love it. I'd like a MTB too but running is a better/more convenient workout for me.
  12. My wife didn't have any specific cravings for food but she couldn't eat hot food really-just made her more nauseous.Glad I can't get pregnant-it would be too hard for me...
  13. Yeah no music for me in the outdoors, though tunes when you're boarding alone is good at times. That was a sweet run Creek Boy. We should try it without our respective hangovers next time
  14. No idea yet me jane. Either one is fine for me.
  15. I'm keen to run on Sunday-but will have to get back to you about it on Saturday Creek Boy. So far a sedentary week for me which kind of sucks.
  16. Cool Creek Boy, sounds like a good run, and a little less punishing than the one we went on the other day. Must run more often.
  17. Apologies for my rudeness silly-sausage. What I should have said was "who really cares?". He'll get over it if he's pulling 48 million quid a year.
  18. Some mascots of the previous World Cups. Quote: The World Cup mascot is mostly targeted at children with cartoon shows and other merchandise released to coincide with the competition I think the latest mascot would scare a lot of kids
  19. Quote: (And I'm not a Maori, or from Samoa or Tahiti). Yeah, I guess not. Just answering your question mate, it can't be denied tattoos have cultural significance, despite your personal opinion on them. But as you say, whatever...
  20. No I've only been once but have been thwarted three other times by the typhoons.
  21. I don't mind the typhoons, but why do they always have to rock into town when I want to go to the beer garden ...
  22. It may not apply to your culture and you're welcome to your personal opinion. As to elaborating, tattoos have great significance in a lot of cultures. In Polynesian cultures such as the Maori in New Zealand, Samoa , Tahiti and so on, tattooing has traditionally had great cultural significance, which remains relevant today. Off course there are plenty of silly tattoos as you say, but that doesn't apply to all of them.
  23. Yamakashi. Reason is that it's nearly free for one, and furthermore I have a fair amount of downtime during the day so I can slip out to run, do weights, sleep in the big masssage chairs/beds, or surf the net and post on here (something I can't do in the office). Apart from that the trail would defo be my first choice. I'll be keen for a run on Sunday afternoon if you are.
  24. Yeah dude, all tattoos are just silly hey...culturally significant ones aside of course, no?
