I use the Cartels on my supermodel, and I have found them to be very good. For powder, I don't think you need super stiff bindings really, but I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference.

A few events of cold weather does not equal a cooling climate, just as a few events of hot weather does not equal a warming climate. It is the long term trend that is important, which the above mentioned site does not seem too interested in. From the Christian Science monitor, which is hardly a "warmist" publication, in July this year: This on its own does not mean that the climate is warming, just as the list of record cold weather events on the site that you linked to does not mean that the climate is cooling.

Hey Kokodoko, We now are arriving in Sapporo 31st Dec and heading out to Rusutsu early on the 1st of Jan, so we won't be riding any of the Sapporo resorts. If I can figure out an easy way for a day trip from Rusutsu to Niseko, then I will probably come across to Niseko for a day. Anyone know of any transport options that aren't too expensive? Are you keen for a day at Rusutsu sometime between the 1st - 10th of Jan?
