I noticed a lot of areas that were solid last year have signs of sliding this year. There is even one in bounds in a roped off area that I boarded last year, that made me think twice I tell you.

They do call new chitose airport sapporo at a lot of places, I am sure he will be staying near the airport somewhere and just wants to dump his board bag. I was at new chitose yesterday and there was a shop that will hold your bags. When you head out of the baggage pick up area head hard left and walk about 100m max and its on your left. I do not know the name but they have a funny logo which caught my eye, its 2 cats, a big one with a smaller one underneath lol. The guys wear a funny green over coat, you cant miss them.

I am sitting in the lobby of rusutsu resort now. It was snowing all afternoon and did get pretty heavy for an hour or so but it seems to have backed off now. Hope it pukes tonight as it definately needs it. West Mt was tracked out hard tonight but it always gets tracked out fast I guess being right at the doorstep of the resort.

Actually I have it on youtube already from last year. This is when we discovered it, if you use the 2 towers as a reference you should be able to work out how to attack it.

No path. You go through some trees and just keep hooking left. You cant go wrong out there really as it all runs back toward the car park at east mt. I have a gopro vid of a run out there but they take days to load on youtube and I have no editing software to chop them up.

I have the fastecs as well but the "mountain" which is the freeride version, they are very light weight units and seem to be on the soft side. My first day riding on them will be sunday so after that I will have feedback on them. Those new flows are awesome and I will be owning a pair of them as soon as they come out.

That bluebird day after a week of puking skies is what I live for! I am staying at the resort and have meal tickets for breakfast and dinner so I really wont be heading out of the resort at night. Generally at night I like to head over to rusutsu tower on the monorail to the all you can eat buffet called bon appetite. For breakfast you cannot beat oktoberfest all you can eat buffet. Its a pity we miss each other by a few days, especially as you are going solo, I know what its like travelling alone. Next year we should all T up a date and try to hit the place at the same time, maybe get some

You totally missed that!

This is one of my fav bit of slackcountry in Rusutsu. It is straight up east mt gondola then hard left (away from the isola). There are 2 hills, one I am on and the other you can see in the background which are pure untouched powder all the way with only an short hike out.

I have thirty two boots nearly exactly the same as gareths dc's above. Dual BOA is a must have if you are anything less than 100% happy with the way your current boots fit, dual BOA is insane. As is the inner ankle harness which stops any heel lift.

I don't think there is much doubt from most people in what you are saying. Its just that its kind of like (in a much less dramatic fashion lol) flying into hawaii, paddling out pipeline the next day and telling the locals how its gonna be. It aint gonna happen.
