Thanks! Actually yeah I suppose it isn't ALL about the snow. The more I think about it that getting lost in Japan kind of aspect of a trip appeals more. Niseko sounds awesome snow-wise but I somehow prefer the sound of somewhere like Shiga Kogen or Zao. All sounds great!

Not much last season as I was recovering from an illness (ok now) and had to take it easy. Just the one week.

Very vague right now but interested in getting over and seeing a bit of Japan.

OK I'm new to the subject so don't laugh. But after reading a lot of stuff, I get the impression that the most popular resort place is Niseko, followed by Hakuba. Then with a number of places trailing those two such as Shiga Kogen, Nozawa Onsen, Yuzawa, etc. Would people agree with that summary? I'm not really into going to somewhere just because it's popular. I suppose places are popular for good reason - though that actually puts me off some places. It's all about the snow for me. And if I go to Japan I'm keen on the idea of going somewhere really different

Buddy of mine lives near there and I've been tempted once or twice to take a few months off and spend some time down there. But my next target is Japan I think I'm fixed on that if it's only a plan

I do a lot of rowing. Great exercise and a lot of fun. Got some meaty thighs going on.

Like so many just looked awesome and spent a few seasons bumming. One of the best times of my life.

Started off skiing way back. Over 20 years ago now, had a blast spent two seasons in Whistler at the bar. Got back into the snow recently and taken up snowboarding. Looking over to Japan for next season now.
