  1. Strange as it sounds, we have similar physical and psychological similarities. Similar shape and sized hands and feet. curve of spines... communication without words...
  2. They are great. Level Biometric only helps impact to the ground but if you fall on top of your wrist like I did, crack! Why didn't you get it in the UK !? Alpen is big sports shop but I don't know if they keep them. Kanda is another one. There are lots of mountaineering and ski shops around Kanda station, too.
  3. Big effort on thursday for compiling all the photos. Cool. Tinned abalone is not bad. I like it fresh better. Food in HK is one of the best ! Corned beef is really yummy when you make it yourself. I'm in Bavaria, no reason to buy tinned stuff. All the yummy Shinken you can get here....
  4. If genes can convey information of your ancestors, why not the memory. You may argue that it was the ancestor not you, but that may be the delusion because people enforce their own ego once they realize that I am I. Reality is created by your own thought and senses and defined by words. This is not a matter of belief but of perception. You will see this not only in humans but in animals, too. The big question is Where does Awareness come from? My girlfriend and I, I feel we knew each other. We might have been past lovers or brother and sister.
  5. I've hunted squirrels using a trowing stick. I'll eat them if the season is right and prefer them to chicken. The brain is like egg york it's yummy.
  6. If you want to use a UHF radio without license in Japan, get a CB (citizens band) Transceiver. The frequency and POWER OUTPUT is limited. If your hardware complies, doesn't matter where it's made. Or, you have to get a so called HAM license. Do a Google search..
  7. Yeah, definitely long term. Depends how old you are, how long your parents and grandparents lived till, and you will get an idea of how long is long term investment for you. Or, if you want to leave something for your kids...
  8. Quote: In bounds trees are a very good option for progressional learning.... Your kidding yourself.. Have you never heard of Tree Wells !? The branches of the tree shelter the area surrounding the tree trunk from snowfall. Thus a pocket of air or loose snow can form in the vicinity of the trunk. Tree wells are encountered in off-piste or ungroomed trails and on UNGROOMED PISTE BOUNDARIES. The risk of encountering a tree well is greatest during and immediately following a heavy snowstorm. Low hanging branches can further contribute to forming a tree well, as they efficiently shelter
  9. What makes you think that because it is a resort it is safe. Delusions! Nothing has changed, it is a mountain, and nature can kill you. My friend and I nearly got killed between Annupuri and Hirafu, mere 400 m traverse on the top. Blizzard conditions and an avalanche nearly got us. Because there are lifts around people think it's safe and treat it like some department store or disneyland. If any of you have done patrol work ....dragging someone out of trees... say no more. GN, you know there are idiots on the piste. To assume that these people can handle off piste conditions without causi
  10. Not enough english speaking patrols. and carrying avi gear and training should be compulsory on the customer side. Thanks for the write up.. cheers
  11. No need, If it really gets out of trouble the professionals (Yakuza) comes in. Roppongi and Shinjuku have Yakuza office. I had been an interpreter and teacher in Japan and trained staff security situations at Shinjuku discos. Most of the problem was military and ex-military. The problem can be solved when lift tickets can be bought with ID (passport) only. You cause a problem, no more lift tickets. If that doesn't stop, deportation on one's own account. Simple.
  12. 1:Zao -King Daddy of Honshu skiing, people who likes to ski just that. 2:Shiga -variety, apres ski 3:Kusatsu -including Manza, convenience from Tokyo and Onsen for a few days 4:Hakuba -The mountain 4:Myoko -The mountain 6:Nozawa -Nozawana is yummy. Go there once and that was good enough. Not definitive. Any one of them could be my best depending on how many days I have and my mood. Have to go to all of it again. Maybe next year
  13. I'm out in touch so I can't say much but generally traveling in Japan is expensive and a lot of people opt for KaiGai Ryoko (oversea's travel) With the stronger Yen that might be the trend even more. Shinkansen is not cheap, and depending how the airline company is doing and the oil price, flying is a better option. With less people going to Niseko maybe there is more supply than demand? Is Niseko reliant on the Oz economy? Most Japanese travel on a package deal, it's quality and cheaper. I expect more Japanese coming to Europe for snow.
  14. Thank you Gimp. ignorance is bliss isn't it. Some people are just happy to look good, have some money so they can consume, fast cars, pretty chicks, yummy food, live for about 60 years and that's all it's about. Love to perv on people and get perved in return. Live in a Panopticon... we are just monitoring it to make sure it's all right... It's called regulation...
  15. Because if you a self employed, you are running a company. As I said, here is no such thing as Free trade. It's all about governments and big companies. Why can't I directly make a choice in what to invest for my retirement. It's about self efficiency, too. What kind of efforts are the government taking to encourage savings (ie: not taxing the first 50 transactions in stock exchange. Not taking the first AUD50000 in savings accounts. abolish taxes on deposits, withdrawals. not taxing people on poverty earnings under AUD15000 pa) These so called investment advisers. They are playing with someon
  16. We've done worse.. I can't remember how it happened, but we ate a can of dog food.. was it Pal? ...can't remember... but we boiled the shit=out-of-it. auuughhh....
  17. Quantas cargo, counter always shut when needed at Brisbane airport.
  18. Let's take a capitalist approach... If you are running your own business, why weren't you allowed to invest in real estate for your own super? This could have resulted in increasing the available housing and reduced the available rent.. what regulations? the one's they can change any time. Ma'bear your mum's suspicion is well founded... Indo, I don't know what I am talking about. I think the big benefit for super is to create an industry that means jobs... kill two birds with one stone as the Japanese say. I hope it doesn't literary end up that way touch wood.
  19. The Australian super is another "shame, shame on you politicians" joke. You plan for a life time and retirement, so you expect the contract you made with the government is honoured. Well. well, what happens? They change it 5 years down the road. They must be feeding off the accounting industry in donations or what? ger, what is a protectionist? I just want to point out that there is a bigger picture and risk as a consequence of all this recession. China. We have been maintaining our material and american model middle class lifestyle on cheaps labour throw away quality chinese goods. Re
  20. I get headaches and feel sick after a beer, and I am drunk. So, yeah..
  21. Yeah, my first driving test in Oz. I pulled out making a more than adequate gesture that I looked behind, and then turned left at an intersection doing what I have to do. In the middle of the intersection as I was turning, my driver's side door opened ! well... guess what I failed. We all now that they fail youngsters to teach them a lesson and revenue raising.
