Today is the last day of the ski season here in Zao.

Rain yesterday, holding off just now but the chance of some snow today apparently. It's pretty cold, certainly not what we expect over Golden Week.

Well, we have been enjoying a real April revival here. Snow reported on 9th and now another 20+cm to report this morning. It's on the heavier side, but it's fresh snow and what's not to love about that.

No report today.

There was a few cm of snow yesterday morning at base with more than that at higher elevations (included in this report) but this morning it warmer and feeling much more like spring again.

There's more snow to report, this time I have 5cm to add to the record. Light snow early on but we expect mostly cloudy skies today.

OK so yesterday there was 12cm of snow that I measured and this morning there's another 16cm.

It is a cloudy morning but there is 2cm of fresh snow on the ground and there is a chance of some more to come.

And how about this then - over 15cm of fresh snow on the ground at base and no doubt some more than that higher up.

Fine weather this morning and calm too which is good.

Lots of fresh snow this morning, right down to base. I am hearing from a friend who works for the resort that there is up to 40+cm in windblown areas this morning.

Good news. Fresh snow yesterday with 10-20cm in places.

A few cm to report from the start of the day yesterday with no more this morning and a bit more cloud early this morning but signs of some blue sky and perhaps it will clear up further.
