It's good old mid-winter like cold and blowy snowy morning here.

Ah, good. I bring you news of snow! Not huge amounts but I am measuring 6cm.

It is relatively mild this morning and right now sleet is falling but there is up to 5cm of fresh snow in places on the ground overnight (I am measuring 3cm).

Just a bit of snow overnight and right now... the sun is out!

It's a bit disappointing this morning especially as we were hearing of the chance of some decent snow overnight.

It is definitely colder. And there is a dusting of snow on the ground.

Hello and good morning from Shiga Kogen where... the ski season has started!

Good morning from Shiga Kogen. As with many regions of Japan, it has been relatively mild over the last few weeks.

It was interesting to see a bit of snow fall in some higher areas since my last report a few days ago, but today is absolutely the last day of the 2017-2018 season.

Lovely weather this weekend and it's going to really warm up today.

It's actually quite cold this morning! And some fresh snow on the ground too! Much nicer than the rain yesterday, that's for sure.

Things are looking mid-winter once again this morning.

After some very strong winds yesterday that affected lift operations, today I introduce to you.... fresh snow.

It's great to see a bit of fresh snowfall here in Shiga Kogen this morning.
