Snowfall at base this season 5cm
Posted on Sunday 9th December 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.
Morning from Shiga Kogen.
It's a bit disappointing this morning especially as we were hearing of the chance of some decent snow overnight.
As far as I can tell here is what resorts themselves are reporting:
Yakebitaiyama: 5cm fresh snowfall
Kumanoyu: 0cm fresh snowfall
I can report 1cm. So not the decent snow we were hoping for. It is snowing now, but it's very light and fine. Let's hope it kicks into a higher gear. There seems more of a chance of decent snowfall around Tuesday into Wednesday.
Ski lift operations and course openings remain the same as yesterday.
