We have fresh snow. Yakebitaiyama are reporting 5cm. Kumanoyu are reporting 10cm.

It is very windy this morning. Wind is blowing snow around and affecting a number of lifts - looks like Okushiga Kogen, Yokoteyama and Shibutoge are closed, with some other lifts affected.

The sun is out this morning. The clouds are gone, the winds have disappeared and it's bright and definitely one of those feel good cold mornings.

It's busier than normal for a Monday morning due to the fact that today is a national holiday in Japan.

Yesterday we enjoyed a bit of clearer skies at times but light snow has started to fall.

The New Year holidays are over for most people now with lots probably returning to work today.

The good news on this Sunday morning is that we have signed off on a nice new delivery of fresh snow.

Decent amount of snowfall to report this morning with resort areas reporting between 10cm and 20cm. I have measured and can report 14cm.
