Hello from Shiga Kogen.
The New Year holidays are over for most people now with lots probably returning to work today.
The storm has cleared and some snow is still falling in places. I was just over at Okushiga where it was coming down quite nicely actually.
Some fine snow conditions yesterday for those braving the conditions and I would expect another good day with 5-10cm of further snowfall.
We are now nearly at that 'Shiga Kogen is fully open' status - though not quite yet.
'Almost fully open' is probably the best way to describe it!
Notable areas that are not yet fully available are Terakoya, Higashidateyama and Happo Bunadaira.
