The sun is out and it's a beauty of a morning. Good and cold too. Quite the contract to yesterday morning.

After that break in the clouds and calmer conditions yesterday, we're back to stormy conditions here in Shiga Kogen this morning.

After the storm, the calm (well, sort of). A bit of a southerly wind around, and relatively milder temps - though still in the negative - and some sun breaking through the clouds this morning.

Wow. Some clearer skies in the morning yesterday but from the afternoon - heavy snowfall.

Some really nice snowflakes have been falling earlier this morning with not much of a wind.

As per forecast, after the clouds clearing during the day yesterday we were treated to a beautiful evening moon.

In a replay of yesterday, Yakebitaiyama are reporting 30cm of fresh snowfall and Kumanoyu are reporting 10cm.

The week starts in good style with some good freshly fallen snow on the ground and suitably cold conditions.

There is a moderate wind blowing about and so it is one of those mornings where you'll find different amounts of snow in different places.

Light snow continued after my report yesterday, but not too much on the ground in terms of cm and resorts do not seem to be reporting it.

Someone I know is telling people this morning that there is up to 30cm of fresh snow out there this morning.
