It's snowing this morning, a national holiday and the first day of the long weekend.

Happy to say that after some rain (noooo!), this morning it has started snowing.

After the spring-like day yesterday, things have swung the other way considerably this morning.

It's cold and snowing. Not sure I was expecting this, as there was a bit of sun early morning.

In the middle of the night, Yakebitaiyama was reporting 3cm of snow. At 7am, Kumanoyu was reporting 5cm of fresh snowfall.

That fresh snow was fun yesterday.

Snow yesterday and overnight has eased off this morning leaving us with cloudy skies and generally decent visibility.

Light snow falling early on this Saturday morning giving us a dusting on otherwise generally hard runs.

Yesterday it did start getting colder and with wet snow falling, though it didn't amount to much. Yakebitaiyama reported 5cm; Kumanoyu 0cm.

A very mild day yesterday and mild temperatures overnight.

There has been a dusting of snow around some areas overnight but probably not much more than a few cm on the slopes in places.

There was some light snow overnight (I am told!), and there is still cloud in places but we have an increasing amount of blue sky this morning.

It is snowing lightly this morning though it might not last the day with a chance of clearing clouds later.

Just going back to yesterday, Okushiga Kogen reported an impressive 30-40cm of fresh snowfall with more than that in wind blown areas. Very nice.
