Some lovely light snow again this morning with cold and windy conditions and limited visibility. Some lifts might be affected but generally ski areas are open.

The snow has come. And so has some wind, but ski areas seem to be open.

Light snow has started falling this morning with a dusting so far on the ground. It is hopefully the start of some heavy snow over the next several days.

After the storm, the calm. It's quite sunny too as well.

Shiga Kogen for the win! It's not a huge victory, but it is snowing up here while places at lower elevations are suffering some rain this morning. As expected really.

Yesterday we got that light snow, though it was sleet/rain at times in some of the lower areas.

Well, after the stormy conditions of yesterday, we are being treated to a day of calm, fine weather.

White-out blizzards conditions this morning, folks. It's wild out there. There's not much to see of anything, making conditions really quite dangerous.

This morning it kind of feels like we have, at last, entered 'mid-winter'.

There wasn't perhaps as much snow as we thought there might be overnight (Yakebitaiyama reported 10cm early morning and Kumanoyu reported 15cm).

Great to have that snowfall yesterday.

Very early morning, Yakebitaiyama was reporting 5cm of fresh snowfall and Okushiga Kogen has just declared 5cm of fresh too.
