Early morning cloud, particularly a bunch of low clouds hovering across the valley, but that should clear fairly quickly and it should be another fine day with sunshine expected.

The snow eased off yesterday morning and we even got some clearer weather at moment. I think most people were concentrating on enjoying the fresh snow.

Excellent news to report this morning. Very large amount of new snowfall. It might have taken time to get going, but overnight we got... a lot!

We were all excited about the prospect of heavy snow. We do have snow, though perhaps not as much as we thought we might, certainly now down at base anyway.

The snow has started. There is a few cm on the ground and we are very much hoping that the next few days will bring some Nozawa-like numbers.

Yesterday was a curious one. As noted yesterday morning, the snow clouds that were hoping for mostly missed us, but it was snowing a bit later in the day giving us several cm down at base.

We have some fresh snow. It's a modest amount, for sure, with the ski area only reporting 3cm on upper areas.

The sun is out. There are quite a few people around. I wouldn't be surprised to see our favourite bright green skiing vegetable Naski out and about today!

The ski area reports 15cm of fresh snowfall on the top Yamabiko area this morning. (There has just been a dusting around base areas).

Down here in the village it looks foggy and we have a thick blanket of low cloud, but up on the top area of the mountain there's some blue sky and even some sunshine.

It's Wednesday 29th November and the first day of the ski season here in Nozawa.

This morning it's fine and sunny. It is a beautiful morning up top, even though early things look more foggy for the moment.

Good news with snow on the ground at base this morning. 10-15cm of it, and it is still snowing, though it might ease off during this morning.
