It's Wednesday 29th November and the first day of the ski season here in Nozawa.

The ski area is reporting 5cm of snow since yesterday on the Yamabiko area and a snow depth of 30cm. The Nagasaka gondola will open at 8:30am and you need to use that to get up to (and back from) the course that is open.

There's still not much snow around, of course, but hopefully there will be more to report tomorrow. Still, it's great that the ski area is able to open within November.

May it be a very snowy season!
