It's snowing this morning. And quite nicely as I write this.

I have just a bit of fresh snow to report from yesterday, though actually the ski areas themselves are not reporting any this morning.

We got some more fresh snowfall during the day yesterday and as a result I have another 13cm to add to my reports.

After six days with no fresh snowfall to report, I have a nice layer of it to tell you about this morning.

A change at Niseko Annupuri. This morning they have their Jumbo Number 3 pair lift moving, up there by the top of the gondola.

Since my report yesterday there is just few cm of snow to report.

This morning I have 9cm of lovely fresh snowfall to report. It is a cold morning too so conditions should be fairly decent.

So, after that limited opening of the Niseko Village ski area yesterday, today sees the other ski areas opening.

Today is officially the first day of the ski season here, if you take that as being the day when the first ski lifts start up.

After a kind of gloomy stretch of warm and wet, I am happy to report that there is some fresh snow to report this morning.
