New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 124cm

Hurray!

After six days with no fresh snowfall to report, I have a nice layer of it to tell you about this morning. It was great to see it coming down again last night. I have measured 15cm of it and with more snow on the forecast things are looking and feeling more positive this morning. Even if the temperatures are in the negative.

It sounds even better when I saw the 25cm of new snowfall that Hirafu seem to be reporting on their official report. Yey.

It was a bit windy out there when I was out walking my toast and that may very well affect this morning. If that is the price to pay for a decent delivery of fresh snow, I think we are all prepared to accept that. (I need to post the report early this morning so apologies for not being able to report on the 8:30am situation).

Having said all that, as I prepare to post this report there is some small areas of blue sky on show. So rather changeable conditions at the start of the day.

About the 'official snow depth' (and changes in those numbers) and 'official 24 hours snowfall' numbers that I post below. Sometimes they seem a bit odd and don't seem to 'add up' or be logical. There's all sorts of reasons for that.

My advice: don't over-think on them. I'm just reporting what is on the official information each morning - as a bit of extra info to put out there, for your excite consideration.
