It's still snowing very lightly in Myoko today, but clear skies are ahead.

It's a beautiful day out there in Myoko today. Opposite to the usual, it's sunny in the Myoko area, with clouds and what appears to be snowfall to the east and north of here.

The snow never really stopped through the day yesterday and into today... well, OK, we had a few moments of sun around lunchtime (kind of what it's threatening to do right now).

We got a pretty good dumping from yesterday through the night and into the morning. The prediction was for 60; I think we got close to that, but not quite.

We got snow throughout the day yesterday: it can be hard to find a really good total figure when wind is blowing, and some things get cleared and some don't.

I got called out by some visitors yesterday for missing a few days (thanks for reading, boys!), and, as promised, I got out snowthrowing at 5 am.

Sorry to be off here; snow was falling, machines aren't working.... I promise to be a good boy. It is fun, after all!

I decided not to jump out of bed early this morning (still got up early; just decided not to move much) when I heard rain dripping from the roof.

Another night of winds and heavy snow.

Light snow continued to fall through the day yesterday; we could see the sun shining across the way toward Madarao and on to Nozawa, but we stayed in the shade.

The rain turned to snow at the end of the day yesterday, and then some serious snowfall.

It's better than we expected: a little snow on top of the stuff that looked like it could get a bit nasty and crunchy.

A sunny day: regular readers know that we prefer those wonderful snowy days when you can hardly see a thing, but after the constant (and sometimes unexpectedly heavy) snowfall, we can use a reset day.
