Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 935cm

Posted on Thursday 26th January 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

A sunny day: regular readers know that we prefer those wonderful snowy days when you can hardly see a thing, but after the constant (and sometimes unexpectedly heavy) snowfall, we can use a reset day.

Happy to see that the rain predicted for tomorrow is switching over to the white stuff, although Sunday now is looking more likely for rain.

It's cool and clear now, though, with a warm sun.

Really a nice day to get out and see Mt. Myoko (which many visitors never actually get to see except in photos!)
