Running a little late today; actually had a fun evening out locally at our neighborhood izakaya, where the clever owner built an amazing customizable set of acrylic walls to give us the viral protection we need.

We went from that sun shining through high clouds at the start to the day to rain, to some great big flakes falling around 3pm.

It started out sunny yesterday; the winds started shifting to the north just after noon, the fog came in, and a bit of snow fell - interesting little columns, not your average, 6-sided, classic snowflakes.

The snow tapered off during the day yesterday, and the wind has swung around to the WSW.

Snow. Snow. Snow. The little notice window on the home screen of my iPad was saying "Heavy snowfall warning" yesterday, but at 10pm or so the stars were out.

Another day when it looked like we should be overwhelmed by snow, but a funny wind pattern between the Noto Peninsula and Sado Island caused a little counterclockwise circulation of wind.

Not as much snow as I was hoping in this new storm cycle, but a lot of wind out there.

A little more snow today, but how much will fall in the coming days?

A quiet snow day; not a lot of new to add to the pack today, but nobody's complaining about the conditions in Myoko this year!

Still a bit of snow falling, nice cold temperatures. I wish there weren't so much plowing to do, and more skiing (we work so you don't have to).
