New snowfall at base 7cm
Snowfall at base this season 726cm
Posted on Friday 15th January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
It started out sunny yesterday; the winds started shifting to the north just after noon, the fog came in, and a bit of snow fell - interesting little columns, not your average, 6-sided, classic snowflakes.
Not the best kind for powder skiing, but there's not much so it should be fun.
Not much else going on around here, except that the trains will be running this afternoon. They've still been stuck in that huge snowfall that knocked out Joetsu City on the coast but largely missed Myoko. We'll get more this weekend, it seems.
