The snow flurries continued through the day yesterday with no accumulation on the ground until early evening.

Furano Ski Area did a great job of getting the ski area open as planned yesterday on 24 November.

Yesterday there was some light snow falling through the day but it didn't really accumulate on the ground.

The weather definitely turned to winter mode today. It snowed throughout the day and in Kitanomine village the snow on the ground peaked at around 7cm accumulation.

All good things come to and end and today is the end of the season for Furano Ski Area.

It is a nice warm spring day with the temperature hovering around 13c.

After getting used to the spring weather, this morning is a throw back to winter.

What a contrast today is to the recent gloomy weather. We have brilliant blue sky sitting over the resort with only a couple of clouds showing.

It is a warm day and above is cloudy conditions. It is +5c now but will go even higher up to +7c by afternoon.

The whole resort was a whiteout yesterday with severe winds throughout the day.

Yesterday was extremely windy even at base with lots of horizontal snow blowing around and warm temperatures that were into he positives.

There has been a nice little top up of 4cm of new snow overnight.

This morning we have more fresh snow here in the village measuring in at 5cm.
