It is a nice calm morning with nothing in the way of wind.

Winds have been fairly significant since yesterday late afternoon and on mountain expect moderate to strong gusts.

There has been a good dump of 20cm of new snow since yesterday.

Yesterday was a tropical blip with +3c temperatures warming things up and bringing with it a period of moderate rain.

The snow is back and coming down moderately. There is 5cm accumulation of very light powder at base level and more on the mountain itself.

There has been 16cm of new snow at village level overnight.

The sky is mostly clear and it is looking like a very nice morning.

We were hit with a snow blast yesterday afternoon that lasted through until this morning and this has deposited 24cm of new snow at base level.

It is -9c in Furano town and snowing moderately at the moment. There is 4cm of new snow at base.

It is -8c in town and heading for a high of just -7c today.
