It is a beautiful morning in Furano.
The sky is clear and the sun is beaming down on the ski area, however don't be fooled by the warm looking sun as it is -22c at the moment and will only warm to -10c by this afternoon.
The view over Furano City through to the Daisetsuzan Mountains looks fantastic. Best to take some photos early though as cloud will likely move in by lunchtime.
There has been a dusting of 1cm of new snow overnight.
