A very Merry Christmas from Furano.
Well, yesterday was a tropical blip with +3c temperatures warming things up and bringing with it a period of moderate rain. That warmth has gone and we are back to the cold temperatures with daily snow expected over the next week.
There has been 8cm of fresh snow overnight. Weather conditions are clear with high broken cloud and we may see more snow in the afternoon.
Snow conditions will be fresh overnight powder on top of a frosty base caused by yesterdays warm blip.
All lifts on both sides of the mountain are operating except for the Kitanomine Snow Escalator.
Santa is usually out for a ski on Christmas day with sweets for the kids - keep an eye out.
