The wind has arrived and it is moderately gusty at village level and will certainly be stronger at the tops.

It is another very fine day in Furano. The morning started off with blue skies and cold wintery temperatures.

Right now it is the perfect morning. There is not even a single cloud over the resort, rather deep blue sky and sunshine.

It is pretty much perfectly calm outside and the morning will have at least some sunshine beaming down on the slopes.

Good morning from Furano where it's perfectly calm and -7 degrees early on, with 4cm of fresh snow on the ground overnight.

It was very windy still this morning, but winds have dropped gradually through-out the day and it's calmer now.

The winds have arrived as forecast and they are very strong at the moment.

The day started out very cold again and the cool temperatures have persisted through the day.

Those wintery temperatures are still with us and this morning and -17c was recorded at the top of the resort.

Waking up this morning and looking out of the window my thoughts were, it is still snowing.
