New snowfall at base 8cm
Snowfall at base this season 706cm

Waking up this morning and looking out of the window my thoughts were, it is still snowing. Furano has had such a good run of snow this season and there has been only the odd day since January when we haven't had snow. Today's fresh snow amounts to another 8cm, and it is very light and dry.
There is a light breeze blowing around the village which is likely to be a tad stronger at elevation. The snow fall is coming down moderately and snow is forecast for the rest of the day. Actually it is forecast to snow continuously for the rest of the week. Temperatures should be a lot colder though from tomorrow onwards.
Conditions are cloudy with some of the cloud rolling down the tops. This combined with the moderate snow coming down means visibility is not perfect, but still pretty good with just a bit of low light in places.
