Crazy snow and a lot of wind yesterday and into the early morning today.

The ski area is this morning reporting 15cm, and that's my measurement too. It looks like areas just to the north got much more.

After a fine start and some blue sky, the weather had changed by late morning yesterday and we had some heavy snow at times, along with some windy conditions.

Who wants another 45cm of fresh?

Some more curious snowfall numbers from the ski area this morning, which is saying 50cm at the lower Hikage and 'only' 30cm on top of the mountain.

Good news is that it will be much warmer tonight, only -8 C or so. So that's nice.

Snow clouds moved in yesterday after that fine start and we have fresh snow to play in this morning.

It's a cold and snowy and quite windy morning. The wind is affecting some lifts around the region but most ski areas seem to be opening.

We have around 10cm or so in base areas and it is bright, though we do expect some snow today and the chance of some windy conditions later on.
