Snowfall at base this season 298cm
Posted on Sunday 8th February 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Morning from Hakuba.
It's a cold one!
Cortina, 47 and Goryu all reporting 10cm of fresh on upper areas this morning, with up to around 5cm around base.
There's a lot of cloud around but it's quite bright and visibility generally looks good out there.
Should be a fine morning, with potentially heavy snow expected before the end of the day along with stronger (than now) wind. That's not expected to last long, though, with the chance of clearer skies tomorrow and particularly on Tuesday.
