Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 292cm
Posted on Saturday 7th February 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Colder this morning and back to snow.
We have a little snow this morning though curiously a bunch of the ski areas are reporting 0cm. Happo-one is reporting 5cm. Anyway, bottom line, small numbers. But hopefully there will be some decent numbers to report in the next two reports. Fingers crossed and snow dances, please. Once the lifts close, of course.
All lifts at Happo-one are up and running this morning, so it can't be that windy. ;)
I'll leave the last word to Tsugaike:
"Carving, I think it slides good and free."
Have a good one.
