Some snow overnight after a very cold day yesterday. Not a whole lot with ski areas reporting up to around 5cm.

It's cold out there! Snowy too!

Presently some blue sky and sun, but snow is still expected to arrive later on and I should have a nice new layer to report tomorrow.

Ski areas are generally reporting around 5cm of fresh snow on the mountain this morning, with Tsugaike saying up to 10cm.

Yesterday it was mild and we had southerly winds again, and that kind of wind in particular is not a friend to our snow.

This morning Tsugaike wins the new snowfall award, reporting 40cm of fresh since yesterday.

It's snowing as I write this and I have 5cm to report so far. I should have some potentially exciting numbers to report tomorrow morning.

Good morning from Hakuba on this last day of the long weekend.

Lovely day yesterday, though it did get rather mild in the afternoon (nearly getting as warm as 10C).

We are being blessed with a beautiful morning. Clear blue skies, sunshine... and it's a very cold one.

Happo-one is reporting up to 30cm on the mountain this morning with the other big ski areas largely ranging from 5-20cm bottom to top.

This morning we have some blue sky above a thick bank of cloud around the mountains, but visibility looks at least ok to pretty good at higher elevations at 8am.

It is snowing and I have 5cm on the top of my car this morning.

Some more snow to report on this cold morning, though fairly modest numbers.
