Bending backs - on the way out?

Recommended Posts

You know all the obasans and ojisans who are bent over to almost 90 degrees through all their bending to plant rice (?) - is that something of the past that we won't see in 20 years when the bending generation has gone, or do they still do the bending thing?

I can't BELIEVE how bent over some of them are.

It's from osteoporosis of the spine due to malnutrition and has little or nothing to do with rice planting. Instead of that, Japanese people will be dying younger from hearties, cancer and high blood sugar complications.

My question is, do their legs stick up like that in bed?

There's a woman who lives near us who is literally bent over at 95 degrees. Catching her in your headlights from behind at night is a freaky experience - it looks just like a pair of disembodied legs walking down the road. I bet she's good at finding lost contact lenses.

I thourght thats just what happens when you hit 130 years old -my theory is we never see anyone at home like that cos we dont live that long and if we do we give up walking outside about 75.
