mikazooki 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Share Posted October 30, 2003 no the system should work like this - 8 o'clock in the morning nominations go up for the topic poster for later that day, under the title "nominations for topic poster for later today." at 9 o'clock a poll is created using these nominations, under the title "poll using those nominations for topic poster for later today." people have 30mins to vote for their chosen topic poster. at 9:30 the person with the most votes is chosen as the designated poster. this must be published as its own topic before 10o'clock, so everyone is clear who the poster will be, under the title "designated topic poster for later today." the designated topic poster then has lunch time to consider some topics. at 1 o'clock he must post a poll containing at least 3 topics for selection by the forum under the title "poll for topics for later today." at 4 o'clock the topic with the most votes is chosen as the designated topic for that day, and will be published as a new topic under the title "designated topic for a little bit later today." this is not up for discussion, merely a publication for the forum. at 4:30 the designated poster is to post the designated topic, under the title of whatever the topic is, and it will be open for discussion. it wont work any other way. mikazooki 0 Posted October 30, 2003 Share Posted October 30, 2003 u'd like to live in a world free of regulation wouldn't u? well when it degrades into a cesspit of degenerate squabbling u'll have only yourself to blame. i suggest not only the aforementioned process, but also an appeals committee to review decsions made, and an official adjudicator and reviews board. to address a limbo period there is a lot of behind the scenes work that needs taking care of first. with a bit if effort i think we could have a successful system up and running by mid 2006.
