The tune is The Boulevard Connection - "Copenhagen (Claimin' Respect)". It's out of Denmark (hey Thunder!), and is pretty minor. I only spotted it, as possibly did the vid maker, since it's on the mix cd "Another Late Night" by UK hiphop heads Rae and Christian. They specialize in old school soul tunes and jazzy breaks, staying firmly on the side of cool and unpredictable, not cheesy. That track in particular is basically a big DJ Premier-style break, so check his own stuff with Gang Starr or the tracks he's done with ODB, Common, etc. if you want something similar.
