giggsy 0
Do many of the resorts over there have photo tickets and/or electronically checked ones? I get the impression from some posts that places over there have dudes on the lifts checking the tickets one by one with a brush in their other hand. /...
mattlucas 0
Many of the bigger places you get a micro chip and then scan it at special gates each run. Kind of like subways and train stations. At the smaller places it is pretty rare to be checked
veronica 2
In my experience the majority of places you put the ticket in a cover, put it on your arm and some (often) older guy checks the pass (or not) as you get on the lift. I've not seen many hi-tech places......
connackers 0
You can get special swatches now which have a chip in them. So you `charge` them up when you buy a ticket and wave it through the sensors like an electronic pass. Pretty cool but don`t think any japanese resorts are using them yet. Though i saw the watches for sale here.
frannyo 2
I'm with veronica on this - most of the resorts just have guys and gals checking your pass (or not as often is the case - they hardly look at the things)
merryJim 1
It says a lot about a place when they either go for the "bunny lift girl" or the "old farmer dude" on the lifts. They should be categorised as such to make it easier for us to make a good decision on where to go.
