The few times I have been out this season with the general lack of snow I have really noticed some different shapes out there... less snow means that the shape of the slope is more pronounced and less smoother out than usual, don't you think?

 

My friend last week was a victim of that. He was a bit too confident on a run he thought he knew well but was surprised at a bump that wasn't usually there, lost control and is now in the hospital with a broken leg.

Definitely. It's interesting though, some places that I never thought had any character have suddenly got some. (Not that I want every season to make a habit of it though!)
