The greater evil - waiting for lifts or crowded slopes

Recommended Posts

the great thing about Japan is that you can have your cake and eat it too, I say I want both, and I normally get both, I love this country.

But honestly up to 15mins wait is tolerable, there has to be some sort of balance I suppose, if the slopes are so crowded that all you are doing is constantly dodging other skiers it would get anoying. I can handle both occasionally, but I wouldn't like to have to put up with it all the time (Japan has spoilt me, that's for sure)

I hate the waiting for the lift. I have an impatient nature. I'd prefer to be on the snow dodging people rather than wait.

There's nothing worse than trying to get in one more run before the bus leaves, only to waste the time standing in a queue.

I had to wait 10+ minutes for the main lift at Karuizawa yesterday, for the 400m run! I hate waiting, so I much preferred the crowded run with no lift wait time at Naeba a few days ago. But if there were long varied runs, maybe lift waits wouldn't seem so bad.
