mattlucas 0
That's quite the story. Hakusan seems like a good ski. I want to try it as well although other than the hiking route don't know the ski route on the Gifu side. To bad your friend wasn't having a good time. Sucks when things don't go well. But like you said for this kind of thing skis are a lot better. You should paste the pictures on here. I still can't see them. Just right click them and copy the properties then paste the link in the image bar.
fukdane 2
I can't see them either.
Fattwins 0
funky drumming dude head over to tateyama, down the road. The lines are much steeper and easier to access.
montoya 0
might've made a difference if you had some crampons to strap on your snowboard boots on the way up and on those traverses
mattlucas 0
Good thing you didn't let go of your board while you were sliding. Probably never find it again. Crampons are good. Mine are strap on so it takes a bit more time but so much easier once they are on. Just have to be careful not to stab your self in the leg
Fattwins 0
stabbing yourself in the leg sucks poo.
mattlucas 0
I think stabbing yourself anywhere sucks poo

montoya 0
a buddy got a file and slightly rounded off those edges. says it works fine if you're not climbing waterfalls, etc
Fattwins 0
i sand paper it off toque
mattlucas 0
That might be an idea Montoya. I'm not planning on climbing any waterfall ice in the future. But then if I'm gonna stab myself I think I would rather do it with a sharp object compaired to a blunt one You talking about P-tex there FT? I filed it down with the file on my leatherman. Worked a charm.
thefunkydrummer 0
Yeah - crampons would have been useful. I don't know why you cant see the pics...? I think it must be something to do with your browser settings maybe? I've tried looking at the site from different computers but have never had a prob.
