Guest
Hey folks, Im coming to Japan in Feb to teach and I was wondering whats a good snowboard spot. Im from British Columbia so I normally ride mountains such as Whistler/Blacholm, Lake Louise, Mt Washington, Big White, etc. Whats a good spot to ride where I can hopefully teach english as well? scouser 4
Canadian teachers - hmm, Hakuba Brits - hmm, Shiga Ozzies - hmm, somewhere in Hokkaido American - hmm, Kyushu Sorry! There's just so many good spots its hard to say. And you can teach English almost anywhere in Japan in some form or another. I don't know about the comparisons to BC, so can't really give advice on that. But good luck anyway, I'm sure someone will help out.

oo 1
Gunma is good and central.....
frannyo 2
I'd go with somewhere like Nagano over Gunma any day. Not putting Gunma down or anything, but... Anywhere but Tokyo or a big city right now.
IM 0
If Nagano: City of Nagano, Matsumoto or Koushoku If Gunnma: Takasaki, or Maebashi Those are cities with good access to resorts. Compare to Tokyo, all the cities are pretty tiny (but bigger than Vancouver)
