Having to buy or rent a helmet would just push up the price of getting started. If you want to get your head smacked up, that's up to you. There's a good chance you mightn't anyway. I found that with edge-catching in my first year, and branches in my second year, there were too many opportunities for head and face injuries. Link to post Share on other sites

powwwers 0 Posted October 21, 2002 Share Posted October 21, 2002 i`m with tha yak on this one. it works both ways. i think i stated in an earlier post that tha day i don one is tha day i whack me head. but i`ve also seen peeps do crazy stuff just cos they`re wearin one. i can`t help but think about tha comparisons between helmets being compulsory in Oz if ya ride a pushy. before tha law was introduced, a certain helmet manafacturer started mass producing them. insider info.
