I am stoked to be here as the snow season approaches, in a country that gets a real winter and loads of real snow. I cant wait to get home tonight and put my boots on again. oo 1
Lets not get carried away now shall we? Yes, snow has fallen, great. But it will disappear before real snowfall comes. The resort plans to open in about 4 weeks time, not next week. Not trying to be a downer, but it's hardly urgent to know hour by hour what its like......
miteyak 0
Actually planning a hiking/backcountry trip up Shirouma Dake next weekend, so i'm very interested in all info I can get. Will I be climbing in boots or skins? The forecast is cold all week, so even if it melts down low, there will be a fair bit remaining. With over 50cm forecast higher up, could be an early base.
