cal 6
Bit confused with connections on my equipment. Which connection between CD player and amp would give me the best quality sound: Coaxial digital cable Or One of those red-white connections for analog ? Anyone able to shed light on this for me? Chriselle 158
Fundamentally the same thing..different connectors.
cal 6
Thanks Chriselle. So no "quality" difference then? I can use either, obviously want to use the best!
Chriselle 158
Nah...same. Just get a quality set of RCA's .... they are the industry standard. If you have optical capability for 5.1 then go that route.
nagoid 4
Are RCA's the red and white ones? For a CD player, why would you want 5.1?
Chriselle 158
Ah CD (only) player...yes, no optical, sorry. RCA are the red and white ones. Just get some good ones. Like all cables, quality makes a difference ... to a point.

Alexander L 80
Fluffed covered ears, wanked up audio environment that is a living room, warrants only 9K gold cables
