My photos from today. We went to Niseko village, Annapuri gate 1, Gate 7, then back to Hirafu.   Andreas at Gate 9 hirafu   Alex, gate 9 hirafu   Alex gate 7 Annapuri   Andreas gate 7

There are regal gates and cattle grids but it snows so much in Niseko that they are covered for much of the season.

You of all people know the answer to that already pie but assuming there may well be those out there who are only just becoming aware of the snowtastic phenomena that is Niseko the answer is of course

Spent the morning skiing with Anything. Some knee deep stuff around..

A bit windy and very crowded..

Why is it crowded any special holiday or just the way it is?

was still finding stashes of freshies at 2pm tho.

Yesterday I caught the train to Ranshima just to have a look at a beach with snow covering it.

Ranshima is about halfway between Kutchan and Otaru, in Hokkaido. The place was pretty much deserted but would be nice in the summer time for a swim. There were some hollow tubes but the sets were only about a foot. :)

No way I was gonna put any of my body parts in the water..

Today the wind is howling a gale. Not a lot of snow either. And it is about zero degrees.

Let us see what tomorrow brings.
