Slippery Jim 65
hmmmmmmmm Muika, sorry you feel that way Best, not always but it's the safer bet Iiyama, last season isn't relevant Lot of people get all butthurt when they think their favorite mountain isn't getting the respect it deserves. That's a shame, but nothing I can fix.
muikabochi 208
You seem to love bringing out your well-worn 'agenda' card, DiGriz. (See GoNative/Niseko) I suppose it's fun, but it only works where it's relevant. Personally I'm a bit bored of most places in Yuzawa, and none of them would make my top 5. Actually my favorite mountain is Zao Onsen in Yamagata. Furthermore, feel free to bad-mouth it or anywhere else as much as you like because what you think about any skijo in Japan doesn't bother me in the slightest. Why would it? iiyamadude 6
You're the one coming over as defensive, DiGriz. I love Shiga Kogen. But that doesn't erase the fact that in recent years it has been struggling with inconsistent snow conditions. Suppose that's 'not relevant' though.
brit-gob 9
Come on. Sorry, but muikabochi cannot be accused of getting worked up about anyone else dissing Yuzawa and being precious about it, no way. He says plenty of things that aren't flattering about the place. Straight up guy with what he thinks (and fabtastic photos)!
Slippery Jim 65
Indeed, love the pix!
DumbStick 13
I have been to both Shiga Kogen and Yuzawa area a few times and can't say that the snow was any better in Shiga Kogen. There sure was more in Yuzawa though.
