muikabochi 208 Posted February 28, 2011 Share Posted February 28, 2011 On a given day, is there much difference between the snow quality in Hakuba and neighbouring Otari (home to Cortina/Tsugaike)? Just seem to get the impression that Otari gets better, though not sure if that is actually the case? And are the two villages... friends? Thanks Link to post Share on other sites

NoFakie 45 Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 Otari can get more snow, but there are no real signs of it being "better". The resorts are also at lower altitude and closer to the sea. Its not an expressway any more, just some improvements to the existing roads. They may have a plan for Omachi and Hakuba, but it hasn't been announced. Link to post Share on other sites
