panhead_pete 27
Thanks Scouser, I did see that thread, just a tad confused as just want a room by Tokyo JR station without needing another train. Not woried about going out etc, just getting a sleep after a 24hr commute.
Kraut_in_HongKong 0
I found Jalan dot net very useful. They have a sort of google map of Tokyo - with all the hotels in it. You can zoom in to Tokyo Station and then check for hotels in the vicinity.

RobBright 35
Why not get a night bus from Tokyo or Shinjuku to Hakuba?
panhead_pete 27
Thanks guys, in hindsight I was probably getting carried away with trying to get there as early as possible, which was a little silly as Im in Japan until the 11th. Im going to overnight at the Hilton airport (which was quite affordable) and head off from there in the morning. Having already overnighted Perth - HK and still needing to go via Beijing before Tokyo, I think a good night's sleep might be just the thing for me anyway. Once again thanks for all the help, hopefully others will benefit from it whgen they do a search on the topic.
panhead_pete 27
Hilton was great value although I did book via one of the discount sites. 92,000Y incl breakfast but wasnt happy about having to pay for the gym But still a great option when arriving late. Kraut_in_HongKong 0
You mean ¥92,000 or ¥9,200 ? The first would be US$800 or so and should have a gym in your room.
