Jacetheace1 0
Does anyone know what the status is for SnowScoot and Snowbikes for that matter in the Niseko/Rusutsu area ? I'm heading to Hokkaido with a recovered injury, not knowing how it will hold up I'm thinking of options. Thanks
SKI 15
'status'?
thursday 1
I've seen one, snowbike. Didn't look cool though.
SKI 15
So, status "uncool" perhaps?
Thundercat 60
I find them quite annoying to share the hill with. Usually they are ridden in a straight line and the rider, because they are only going straight, never look around to see what is happening near them. rant:over

A good slashing with a pole usually does the trick. Im amazed at how many people flying down the mountain dont bother turing their heads, both skiers and boarders. Never saw them at Rusutsu, but did at Niseko.
mina2 6
Yep pretty annoying. And the people on them I have seen haven't been able to keep much good control, which probably makes it worse.
iiyamadude 6
I haven't seen many but some resorts rent them out. Can't recall seeing any at Nozawa. I keep well away.
Jacetheace1 0
Okay thanks for the feedback, I had a quick ring around and for those that are interested here is the situation. Annupuri - Snowscoot on all courses except Gondola Niseko Village - Snowscoot on Banzai & Community courses only Grand-Hirafu - Snowscoot on all courses except Gondola Hanazono - Not sure (non english speaking operator) Rustsu - Snow Scoot on all courses Tiene-Sapporo - Snow Scoot on Rainbow & Paradise Grand courses So it seems to me Snowscoot is widely excepted at most if not all resorts, some limit access to certain courses. Jacetheace1 0
Okay here is the 'status' for snowscoot at Niseko. Most resorts allow them on all courses and lifts except Gondola, Niseko Village only allows Snowscoot on Banzai & Community lifts.
