snowdude 44
I thought this season it would be good to report on all the places I go to give people a first hand experience of what a place is like. So here goes with my first report, hope it is ok! Sorry only one pic as I mainly took videos this time! I went to Nobeyama Sunday with my daughter for our first ski of the season. The snow conditions were a little powder on the top of hard packed / icy snow so not the best conditons. It was a nice sunny day and was great to be out on the slopes sliding. Only three out of the five slopes were open, due to lack of snow! Here is not a heavy snow area so a lack of snow this time of year is not unusual. Lift lines were not bad, with typical waiting times of around 1 min max. It became more crowded as the day progressed, but not super busy! Not a big resort by any means, but fun for all ages, as they also have a kids fun park too. If like us you live close by then it is worth to go as three of the slopes are around the 1000 metre mark. Nighta is also available although this time we did not do. The restuarant canteen is big with outside seating space too. Not sure what the food is like as we brought our own! They also bake a seel their own breads, cakes etc as this is part of the chaterlase chain!

iiyamadude 6
I don't know that area really well either. It's a bit of a blind spot for me, must explore more perhaps in winter and even summer. Thanks for sharing snowdude.
Metabo Oyaji 71
Add me to the list that is glad to hear of new places. (Not that I have been to that many myself.) Googling around, it looks like this was a ski area that went out of business and has just come back from the dead? Hope they can make a go of it this time -- gotta root for the underdog!
