Teleskier - did you give any thought to going into the crater? We were going to do it but the clouds were starting to come in so we had to get a move on and get down. The crater looked very do-able. Saw some sweet looking lines going into it.

Yeah, thought about it but physically I was kind of hurting. Had a raging headache going on. There were some tracks into it and it looked sweet. Maybe this time when I head up. I think I am going to bring some aspirin this time. I guess living at 200ft above sea level isn't helping the higher altitude hiking situation.

There are certain kinds of headaches that aspirin doesn't work on.

 

Dehydration headaches are one good example. When I started cycling in Japan, I didn't appreciate just how hot it was. I'd cycle to Nara and back in the summer, and wonder why I felt like my brain had shrunk like an old apple. Aspirin didn't help at all. It was only when I stopped for a litre of water at every Lawsons that I stopped getting the headaches.

 

I wonder if altitude sickness and water intake have any connection...
