r45 4
OK a package from the US sent by USPS International Priority ---- how long can I expect to wait for that? The support person via email just before said up to 2 weeks but that doesn't seem so "priority" to me! Normal mail only takes about a week usually. Anyone experience with that? Cheers
veronica 2
Don't know about that one specifically r45, but 2 weeks does sound long. Like you said normal mail usually takes a week or so, as does amazon stuff.
Ezorisu 0
They are probably just hedging so if it doesn't arrive early you don't get mad at them. I've sent stuff between Honolulu and Sapporo via USPS international priority and it arrives in 3 days or so. If it's coming from the contiguous US, it should take about the same time, since all USPS stuff goes to a central clearing house before heading overseas. I'd imagine 3-5 business days would be about right.
foreversnow 5
I can't speak for it getting to Japan but I receive alot of USPS International Packages in Australia and I receive them within about 3-4 days. Even regular post sometimes only takes 1 week.

r45 4
Well since last night it's status has been "being processed by Japanese customs", so I wonder when I'll get it......
r45 4
Cleared customs at 1:30pm. Hope that means I can get it tomorrow!
r45 4
It arrived this morning. So that's 5 days.

NoFakie 45
You'd still be waiting if it were from the UK. Postman Pat now works on "Special Delivery Service" but every week sees him mix up the labels or have to borrow a passing horse and cart to get there on time.
